Family History Courses

Family History Courses are a great opportunity to share enthusiasm, motivation, your own discoveries and learn!   During our courses there's always the chance to follow-up your own research plus optional trips and excursions. To find out more about what will be included do please get in touch.

Website demonstration and guidance throughout.  Share ideas, experiences and results, ask about getting round brickwalls.

Fees : around £75 for ten week courses.  On WEA courses reductions may be available for means tested benefits.

Support for all personal family history projects throughout and new course members always welcome.

  • Monday 18th September : West Yorkshire Archive Service, Morley : 1.30 to 3.45 pm : 10 weeks : Essential Steps
  • Tuesday 19th September : Harrogate Quaker Meeting House : 10.15 - 12.15 : 10 weeks : Pieces of the Jigsaw
  • Tuesday 19th September : Harrogate Quaker Meeting House : 1.30 - 3.30 : 10 weeks : A Sense of Place
  • Wednesday 20th September : Keighley Quaker Meeting House : 10.15 to 12.15 : 10 weeks : Pieces of the Jigsaw
  • Wednesday : 20th September : Keighley Quaker Meeting House : 1.30 to 3.30 : 10 weeks : A Sense of Place
  • Thursday 21st September : Wellington Hill Community Centre LS14 : 10.00 to 12.15 : 10 weeks : Pieces of the Jigsaw
  • Thursday 21st September : Rawdon Community Library : 1.30 to 3.30 : 5 alternate weeks :  Beyond the Basics
  • Thursday 7th September : Rossett High School, Harrogate : 1.45 to 3.45 : 4 alternate weeks : Next Steps

Half-term week commencing 23rd October with a further additional in November..

January term 2018 : commences Monday 18th January at most of the above venues with half term week commencing Monday 12th February.
