Are you beginning to use Family Historian to record your family tree or maybe you would just like to see what it does and how.
This is an ideal day for you to develop confidence in using this popular British family history software package in the North of England. Particularly aimed at people fairly new to the programme, although all very welcome, our guided get together with be led by Family History Tutor, Jackie Depelle.
Join us to review the basic screens, refresh on input for example with either the Automatic Source Citation facility or add-on programme Ancestral Sources. We plan to try out Mapping, Diagrams and Reports. Given time we can try out the potential to create a book to share with family members.
Please bring your laptop with the programme on it or, where possible, we will seat people in pairs with a laptop between them. If you haven't yet got a copy of Family Historian then try the free 30 day download, complete with sample family tree available form Calico Pie's website:
There is limited wi-fi at the venue which should enable us to look at Family Historian's data matching facility with findmypast. My Heritage also links to the software.
Our venue is West Leeds Scout Headquarters just off Pudsey's town centre. There is full access, residential street parking and it is in within a short taxi ride from New Pudsey railway station.
Refreshments will be provided, delegates are asked to bring their own lunch.
Timing : 10.15 am to 3.30 pm
Cost : £15 for existing course members, £20 for first time delegates.
